Monthly Archives: December 2011

On this New Year’s Eve I find myself feeling thankful for all that has happened in 2011. It was a difficult year, but all and all one I will look back on with a warm heart. I hope that we all can think back to a few found memories of the past year while ringing in the new this evening.

In the meantime, here are a few things that I have been enchanted with this holiday week…

This picture just screams New Years to me. I hope wherever you are tonight, there is an abundance of glitter. Glitter makes everything better.

My upcoming ballet class, because you know, now I am destined to be a prima ballerina. Thank you B for the best Christmas gift ever.

The gorgeous architecture of Chicago’s Field Museum.

Photo shoots in the Egyptian Tomb.

New nail polish that snuck into my stocking.

Isn’t this color from the new essie collection great? I can’t wait to try it out. Although, I’m not ready to let go of my holiday red quite yet. I’m holding on the that holiday cheer as long as I can.

Kittens stretched out in the sunshine.

A new book to add to the collection.

Tons of baking thanks to Sweet Ali’s gluten free flour mix.

The sounds of great blues coming from the apartment upstairs.

The CTA Holiday Train complete with elves and the big man himself.

But most of all, I have been most enchanted with the time I’ve had at home with the love of my life.

I am truly a lucky lady.

Well, this blog theme is named spectrum and I found that quite fitting. Fitting because that is exactly what you are going to get reading this blog – a spectrum. Knowing myself as one tends to, I will likely fill these “pages” with anything from deep, intellectual pursuits to exiting new artists that are stimulating my eye balls to pretty nail polish colors that I can’t wait to try. That being said, feel free to leave me a note or two along the way. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
